Post-production diary

I began editing by putting all of the clips that I recorded into Capcut and then watched them all through and cute them down to using the split tool.

I then rearranged the order of all the clips to how I felt made the most sense.

After this I added in the audio recordings and put them over the clips I filmed that didn't have me already talking in them. I cut out the parts where I misspoke and where there were large gaps, I also used the split tool for this.

After this I added in captions that said the questions that I was answering to make it less confusing and so there is a clear understanding of what I am talking about. I used the add text tool for this.

Finally I went on Bensound and downloaded two songs that I liked and felt went well with the mood of my documentary.

For the final day of editing I added an introduction screen with the title of my documentary and my name followed by a brief explanation on what my documentary is about. I then went to the end of the documentary and added in credits.

I then added in the songs that I found yesterday. I used 'downtown' for the introduction and the end credits. I then used 'hipjazz' and had that playing throughout the documentary to make it seem nicer and less awkward.

Finally I watched through the whole documentary and made some slight adjustments such as, making sure the audio is lined up properly with the clips and that the clips are all the correct length.

With that the editing of the documentary was complete. Since I did not have access to Photoshop at home I used ibisPaint on my phone to create a simple poster to introduce my documentary. I used one of the pictures that I took to show production. I did take that photo with using it for a poster in mind but I was unsure on whether I would have time to create a poster or not but editing the footage didn't take as long as I originally thought it would, plus I spent the majority of the day working on it.

After this I watched through my documentary a final time to make sure it was up to my standards and then I uploaded it.

Whilst I was waiting for it to upload since it took a while I read through all of my blog posts and made a couple changes, mostly checking grammar and spelling. I then began my final evaluation since I felt reading through my posts had refreshed my memory.
